AFTAP is designed to enhance the efforts of the state alternative financing program (AFP) grantees and to assist states applying for AFP grants through a variety of mechanisms. |

Families USA works at the national, state and grassroots levels with organizations and individuals to help them participate constructively in shaping health care policies in the public and private sectors. The organization issues reports and analyses, and works extensively through a variety of media to educate the public, opinion leaders and policy makers about problems consumers experience in the health care marketplace and what should be done to solve them. |
